It’s hard to sum up what the Unite for Change Erasmus+ training course meant to us – because it wasn’t just a project. It was a journey of learning, connecting, and growing in every sense.
Over six days in the charming town of Tábor, we found ourselves part of a truly diverse and inspiring group of youth workers and changemakers from across Europe. Together, we explored how youth work can be a powerful tool for real social change. We shared our challenges, exchanged best practices, listened to each other’s stories, and gained so many fresh perspectives – not only on our work, but on ourselves, too.
The programme helped us become more confident in communication and teamwork, and it gave us a renewed sense of motivation to keep supporting our local communities. We’re incredibly grateful to have had the chance to represent the youth scene of Transylvania.
But beyond the workshops and sessions, it’s the people we met who made this experience unforgettable. We connected with so many kind, passionate, and brilliant individuals – friends we’ll carry with us long after the project has ended. These are not just acquaintances; they are future partners, travel companions, co-dreamers.
And yes, we did manage to explore Tábor a little bit, too! Nestled in the heart of the Czech Republic, the city greeted us with its quiet beauty, medieval charm, and peaceful evening walks. It offered the perfect backdrop for reflection – and reminded us of the importance of slowing down, looking around, and simply enjoying the moment.
We return home not just with notes and contacts, but with warm memories, new friendships, and an even stronger drive to work for and with young people.
Because real change starts with connection.
