We have aimed to create a series of intimate, character-driven films that told the stories of real Hungarian people from the region. The project-series focused on creating films that gave a voice to the often-unheard stories of Hungarian individuals and communities, providing a deeper understanding of their lives, struggles, and triumphs. The films were designed to be a window into the Hungarian experience and covered a wide range of topics and issues, including culture, language, fairytales, and so on.
The project-series produced a wide range of films, from biographical films to films that documented the unique experiences of Hungarian people with disabilities, immigrants, and marginalized communities. These films were sensitively and empathetically told, giving a voice to the Hungarian subjects and providing a unique perspective on their lives. Through this project, Transylvanian Hungarian Films promoted cultural understanding and inclusivity, while providing a platform for Hungarian stories that needed to be told.
