Film and NEET was more than a youth exchange. It was a creative journey of self-discovery set against the backdrop of Transylvania’s natural beauty. Bringing together young people from France, Spain, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Romania, the project combined cinematography training with personal development, helping participants explore who they are and what they are capable of. Through hands-on workshops, they learned the fundamentals of visual storytelling, camera work, and composition, ultimately transforming their own experiences into meaningful video CVs. This process encouraged them to reflect on their strengths, skills, and aspirations, turning uncertainty into clarity and self-doubt into creative expression.

Beyond the technical learning, the exchange fostered genuine human connection across cultures. Participants discovered Transylvania not only through short trips into nature, but also through intercultural dialogue, collaboration, and vibrant international evenings where each country shared its traditions, stories, and perspectives. What began as a group of strangers from different corners of Europe quickly evolved into a supportive and inspiring community built on trust and mutual respect. By the end of the project, they had not only created impactful audiovisual content, but also formed lasting friendships and strengthened their sense of belonging within a diverse European youth network.
